Proctor this!

Guess what I am doing right now!

I am sitting in a quiet classroom filled with the short and young.
I am not dancing or cooking or painting or singing at the top of my lungs.

Today, I am not just a paid monkey hanging out by the white board.

I am actually proctoring a test.
A real test with real questions.
Write your name and class number at the top of the page.
Multiple choice, short answer.

Not only is it a real test but it is a test that I will get to grade. Like a real teacher.
With a red pen and everything.

It is the first time since last May that I have done something that rings of a real profession.

Today I am not a camp counselor.
Not a form of entertainment.
Not an all singing all dancing king of the kids.

Today, for one whole hour, I am a teacher again!

Excuses

Once again I have been remiss in my posting.
There have been complaints and crying and begging.
Even a bit of pleading.

And don’t get me wrong, I have not completely ignored this thing. It has not entirely slipped my mind. I simply haven’t forgotten all about it and all of you.

More than once I have thought of something write-able. Something funny or interesting or just down right groovy.
But it always manages to slip my mind by the time I get back to the comfort of my big new apartment.

On many occasions in the past few weeks I have opened a trusty Word document, rested my fingers on the keyboard, and did absolutely nothing.
For some reason, when I am sitting at the computer, there has been a total writers block.

My mind has been free of any thoughts or blog-worthy events.

Not to say that I have been living a lame ass life. I have been doing many things. Most of which center around working and work associated events.
Then there is the traveling and the seeing of sites in different parts of the country.

It has snowed.
It has gotten really cold. Well, not Alaska cold. But pretty damn cold none-the less.
The holidays are long past.

And the pictures I promised to post are still on my mother’s camera somewhere in the South West region of the United States.
So, sorry about that.

On the upside, I will be heading to China in a few weeks for holiday.
I will be taking pictures, on my own camera, while there. Hopefully they will find their way here.

With that being said I am going to close up for the night. And with any luck I will be back tomorrow with actual stories to tell.
Cross your fingers!
