The Here and Now

Here is where it all begins. I graduate from college in just over a week. I am a middle grades education major and have just gotten a job working in Alaksa. Comming from Kentucky, this is a huge change. I am moving to a very small village in S.W. Alaska. It is the residance of just over 300 people and has approximatly 65 students attending school.
I want this blog to be a running record of my move, the experience of living in the real world, the act of turning that world upside down. I am leaving everything I know and understand behind at the same time that I leave the safety net of being a college student. Its a total life change. Wish me luck!
